We’re great story tellers – now we need a great story seller. We’re looking for someone with bags of energy who can help us develop our client relationships and sell our wordy skills to a wider audience.

Could you be a great storyseller?

We need an articulate sales and marketing person who can take our database of contacts, grow it and win business. Along the way you’ll build relationships with our clients, manage the projects you win and play an active role in shaping the company.

You’re good, but our training will make you super doubleplus good.

Because we know it takes time to learn how to sell what we do, we’re prepared to invest in the right person with on-the-job training. In a few months you’ll develop the tools and support you need to find your rhythm and build a pipeline. And make us hugely grateful that we hired you.

As well as copy, content and creativity, you’ll be selling our popular copywriting and business writing workshops.

What will you do?

  • Prospect for and convert clients who have a real need for better content and copy.
  • Manage relationships with our existing clients and persuade them to invest in more writing and training.
  • Define targets and agree what success looks like.

What sort of person are we looking for?

You will be confident and outgoing, able to communicate clearly. You will ideally have a couple of years’ experience in a sales or marketing role. You need to be able to write well – we’re not expecting you to be a copywriter but you need an eye for wrods (and typos).

We use cloud-based software such as Highrise, Mailchimp and Eventbrite to market ourselves and arrange our training, so being confident with computers is important. And, as our clients are widely spread, your own car is an advantage.

We’re a small team and so you need to be a self-starter, able to make decisions by yourself. And get along with people – there’s no place to hide!

When we find the right person, we will invest in their skills. You’ll be given training to develop your sales abilities and pitch our services.

Your salary will depend on experience but we also want to reward success and will include a bonus scheme within your pay deal. We will also pay for a LinkedIn premium account.

You’ll also be expected to network in the real world not just the cyber one. Some of this will be with businesses, and some with creative agencies – which is always fun.

Salary: 25k – DOE + performance bonus p.a
